Guided Searching on the Web

There are 17 biographies in Computer Science Illuminated, one per chapter. There are many important contributors to the field whose biographies are not included in the text. The ACM Turing Award is the highest award given in Computer Science. Go the ACM's web site (http://www.acm.org/) and do the following tasks:

Choose one of the Turing Award winners not included in the book and write in your own words why the recipient received the award.
List three facts about this person that are not included in the ACM Award Citation. You should use at least two search engines in your search.

Go back to the page on the ACM web site that lists the awards. Choose one of the other awards and answer the following questions

What award did you pick?
Describe the criteria for the award.
Choose one of the award winners and list three facts about this person that are not included in the ACM Award Citation. You should use at least two search engines in your search.
